Backyard

The hanging roots

It was a bright Sunday morning when I decided to stop snoozing my alarm to wake up! The first pattern of procrastination one can feed the mind is, snoozing the alarm. I rolled the quilt and placed it neatly over my single cot. Imagine how would it be to wake up amidst green lively colors around you! Though that wasn’t accomplished, I opened the main door to wave good morning to my tiny troop of plants. I closely inspected the new buds, leaves, and insects, and sprinkled water over the surface as well as the roots.
Sudden thoughts emerged which voiced out as-” Why not an addition?! With my teeth and face, brushed and washed respectively, I decided to visit any big troop of green vibe near my residence. I used to visit HariTharang, one of the beautiful spaces for these troops! I love Explorations, and hence searched for a beautiful nursery near my home!

Gotcha, I came across a catchy name- “Backyard” which was located 1.3 km ahead. I accelerated my two-wheeler and stepped
my feet that hardly reached the ground over the platform of the scooter. Though my foot hardly reaches the ground, I felt the most important thing is not about how far you can reach, It is all about how well you manage and enjoy every ride. This would be my inner voice when a few old people giggle at me! Surprisingly Boots accompanied me after finishing his badminton practice, “Backyard” uttered Boots and rode to its threshold.

It was like a home where the extra space between the fence and the house was beautifully planned and implemented in such a way, that it is so attractive. One of the corners had a huge Neem tree that hosted a creative white cycle-like rusted metal pot with a money plant in it. The stepping stones were laid on the path with soil in and around. This gave an earthy feel and smell as we passed by. The interior of this shop had an amazing collection of indoor plants, pots, and terrariums. The entrance had sequential
pillars against which aerial roots were dangling. Boots started to capture amazing pictures which have been shared along with
this blog. He chose a pink leaf plant pink Syngonium, which was adorable though the size was small. Pink Syngonium is a beautiful creeper and an ornamental plant. You get to see new leaves popping out of the soil every two days if watered and manured properly. It cost me around 150 bucks which were neatly potted and packed. Also after seeing the shop owner, I felt ” the more endearing you are, the more green vibe enters into your life”!
